Scholarships
The Conference on Wind Energy and Wildlife Impacts (CWW) is pleased to announce scholarships to support attendance at our upcoming conference to be held 8-12 September 2025 in Montpellier, France.
Although we are convinced that attending the conference in person allows for exchanges of unparalleled quality, we also recognize that many potential contributors may face challenges to attend in-person.
In particular, we recognize that the cost of travel and attendance is a barrier for attendance for some within the community of students and professionals working in the field of wind energy and biodiversity and environmental interactions.
In order to enable as many participants as possible to take part in these high-quality exchanges, the organizing committee is making significant efforts to reduce the registration fees for participants from low- and middle-income countries. In addition to reduced registration fees, we hope that the proposed scholarships will help to mitigate cost barrier for contributors located in low and middle-income countries.
At least four scholarships which cover the costs of conference fees, round-trip economy airfare or ground-transportation to/from the event, and for accommodation and subsistence during the conference will be awarded in the following categories :
- A. Current graduate or post-graduate student conducting research on an aspect of renewable energy and biodiversity or environmental interactions, enrolled at a university located in low- or middle-income countries (high income countries under the World Bank classification are excluded) World bank classification ;
- B. Current graduate or post-graduate student conducting research on an aspect of renewable energy and biodiversity or environmental interactions, enrolled at a university located outside of Europe, the United States or Canada ;
