Deploying wind energy while respecting territorial and biodiversity challenges: a possible challenge!

At France Renouvelables, we make energy transition and wind energy development our daily commitment. The challenges are numerous, and our federation is dedicated to advancing the sector while managing its impacts.

The CWW 2025 embodies this mindset. It is an honor to host the next edition in France in 2025. Bringing together the international community, this will be a major event on wind energy and biodiversity—your event.
This international conference will allow experts to share and deepen their knowledge on innovative solutions and successful experiences to replicate.
CWW 2025 will undoubtedly be an opportunity for specialists from around the world to exchange ideas, forge connections, and foster fruitful collaborations.

Co-organizing this event with Biotope, with the support of France Energies Marines, makes sense in order to concretize the evident and necessary interactions between wind energy and biodiversity conservation, particularly of wildlife, to better serve the challenges of energy and ecological transitions.

The discussions promise to be rich and invigorating, aiming to strengthen our shared commitment to an ambitious energy transition that manages its impacts.

See you soon in Montpellier to continue, together, preparing for tomorrow!

Frédéric MELKI,
President and Founder of Biotope

Acting and thinking together for an ever more biodiversity-friendly wind energy sector.

Since its inception, the CWW has served as an exceptional platform for exchange among researchers, consultants, wind energy developers and operators, government services, investors, and representatives of NGOs from around the world, to share our knowledge, expertise, and experiences.

It is an honor and a pleasure to co-build and host the 8th edition of this internationally significant event in Montpellier, just a few kilometers from the headquarters of our consultancy.

For 30 years, Biotope has been dedicated to promoting understanding of biodiversity issues and integrating these concerns into development projects, public policies, and actions for the restoration and management of natural environments. Wind energy and, more broadly, renewable energies, are particularly close to our hearts as they lie at the center of profound transformations surrounding energy and ecological transitions.

Organizing the CWW sends a strong signal of our commitment to collectively seeking solutions that reconcile wind energy development with biodiversity preservation, alongside the scientific community and developers.

Acting together fosters stimulation, progress, and success.
This 2025 edition will embody this shared goal that drives us all: to strive every day for better outcomes for biodiversity.
